What types of ads may be placed?
Any advertisement that offers retired (discontinued) Longaberger® products for Sale, Trade or Wanted. We also accept ads for Heisey Collectible Dresden Tour Plates, Clydesdales and Gail Duke Collectibles.

How long will it take before my ad is displayed?
Usually within 3 days of receipt. New ads are uploaded twice weekly on Wednesday and Sunday.

How long will my ad run?
Ads run for a period of 30 days before they are deleted. If you would like to continue to run your ad after 30 days, or to place a new one, you must notify The Basket House by ,, or

How do I place my ad?
You may submit your ad on a separate sheet of paper and then either mail or fax it to The Basket House for placement. If submitting your ad to us by e-mail, your payment must be received within 10 days or your ad will be pulled.

  All ads must have name, address and phone number of person submitting ad. This is for billing purposes.

Be sure to type or write your ad neatly. The Basket House is not responsible for illegible submissions. If your ad contains multiple items, it may be divided up into separate categories according to what is being sold, so be sure to check all areas for placement Here are some tips on how to place an effective ad.

    Please be sure to notify us when:

  • You have an item pending sale, or if an item has sold and what for price it has sold for so it can be marked as SOLD to keep your listings current. Be considerate of other collectors who contact you, perhaps at an additional expense, only to find the item already SOLD. Let the Basket House know as soon as you are sure that item has a new home.

  • If you have any changes to your ad, please let me know - there is no additional charge for this. (Keep in mind the upload days so that your information goes up in a timely fashion)

    How much does it cost to place my ad?
    The first 20 words are $5.00. Each additional word is $.10 each. Phone numbers. and e-mail addresses count as one word. Ads may be submitted to us by e-mail, fax or mailed to:

    SEEKING ADS: There is no charge for ad placement. Ad will stay up until your items are located.

    Please Note: There is a $20.00 fee on all returned checks.

    Full Page Advertising
    Do you have a lot of items to sell? Are you cleaning out your basket closet? Then perhaps you may want to have a page to advertise your collectibles. All of your items in one spot! Here is the cost breakdown:
  • New full page advertisers: $25/month [180 items will fit nicely on a page]. If you need a 2nd page, the cost will be $7.50 additional
  • Renewal Pages (for those who currently have full pages up & running): $15/month plus $5.00 for the 2nd page if you have one

    What if I need to make changes - is there an additional cost?
    No. Just let us know what the change is, and we will be happy to make that for you.
    Vendor Ads
    How are ads placed for the Market Place?
    Market Place ads run for 30 days and cost $15.00 per page. Each additional page is a cost of $7.50 each. This includes unlimited text and graphics. Graphics should be submitted in .gif or .jpg format if possible. Ads with graphics must be mailed with placement specifications clearly marked. Color photos also may be submitted for scanning.


    Smaller paragraph ads under 50 words may be placed for $5.00 for 30 days. Reciprocal links are placed at no charge providing product or service advertised is of interest to those who visit this site.

    Methods of Payment For All Ad Placements

    You may pay for your ad by check, or . Checks should be made payable to The Basket House.
    Satisfied Customer List
    We are always looking for those who have found it easy to sell their collectibles at The Basket House. Send us your comments on your experiences selling your items at The Basket House. We will list them on our Satisifed Customers page!

    DISPUTES: I have always believed in good customer satisfaction and service and would like those I deal with to be ethical. Every so often I receive complaints against some sellers. The Basket House is not a mediator in any transaction and all disputes should be handled between buyer & seller. Be considerate of others and timely in responses and transactions. Treat those as you would like to be treated.

    If I receive too many complaints on a particular person, their ads will be deleted and no longer able to do business on this site.
