Entertaining With Longaberger





  • Use your bricks as potpourri warmers. Place the heated brick in the appropriate brick liner, place it in the appropriate basket and place potpourri in the basket. As the potpourri heats, the aroma is released and it lasts a couple of hours.

  • Use the Button Basket for serving dip & the Darning Basket for chips

  • The Tea Basket makes a great candy dish for parties or on your desk in the office.

  • Chill the Large Pitcher in the freezer for 6-8 hours. When ready to serve dinner, fill with chilled 2-liter bottle of pop. Instant slush!

  • The Votive cups can be used for individual sauces for dipping (melted butter, tarter sauce,etc.).

  • Using the Serving Tray, place the Cracker Basket in the center with 3 small flower pots. On one side, place your hotdogs & hamburgers and rolls on the other. In the Flower Pots, place your condiments (mustard, ketchup, relish, onions, or mayonaise).

  • TRY THIS AS A CENTERPIECE: Turn the Wrought Iron Accent Stand upside down & place in center of table. Place your punch basket at the bottom. On the feet of the table, hang mugs 7 use "S" hooks to hang additional mugs. On the smaller area above the punch bowl, place a flower arrangement using different size flowers & greenery to create a flowing effect.

  • The Votive Cups make great toothpick holders. Can be placedd inside pottery or baskets for easy serving.

  • Use the 10" or 14" the Generations Baskets for serving trays to carry mugs/glasses.

  • The 7" Generations Basket is great to hold pretzels, candy, nuts...the 10" for chips or paper plates...the 14" with divided protector to hold assorted muffins, snacks, or breads. Wrap all 3 with an Extra Large Garter & decorate with med. Flower Pots filled with eating utensils.

  • Turn the wrought iron accent table upside down and use as a centerpeice. Put a knobless lid on bottom and place Extra-Large Mixing Bowl with fruit or special dessert on top shelf, or place the Snowflake or Darning Basket filled with cookies. On the bottom shelf, place the Wildflower basket filled with punch using "S" hooks to hold cups along the edges & the feet of the table. You can also place a basket in the center for plates, more cups or treats

  • The Large Fruit or Wildflower Baskets with protectors make wonderful punch bowls or can be used for salads for large gatherings

  • With protectors in either the Small Laundry or Large Picnic, fill with ice and use as a cooler for your next party

  • The Lavender Basket is perfect for serving pickles, olives or a stick of butter

  • If serving frozen toppings for dessert, place the Medium Mixing Bowl in the freezer the night before to keep the toppings cold at the table

  • The Pantry Basket with divider will hold 6 glasses with 2 compartments for sugar packets, lemon wedges or stir sticks

  • The Small Flower Pots are great to use for condiments. Plug the drain hole with a piece of bread or marshmallow, then fill

  • Use the Regular Flower Pots to serve silverware

  • Remove 1 cross section of the Medium Chore Divider. Put cups, forks and spoons in the small sections and small plates and napkins in the large sections

  • Using the Medium Gathering Basket with divider - in 2 of the corners use Longaberger® Small Covered Dishes for dips or spreads. Add 4 Small Peg Protectors for crackers, vegetables, chips, etc.

  • To make a Salad Bar: Serve lettuce in the Wildflower Basket with protector or the Large or Extra Large Mixing Bowl. Use the divided Serving Tray protector for tomatoes, cheeses, onions, croutons, etc. The center sections can hold 2 different salad dressings. Place Salad or Stackable Bowls along side so everyone can help themselves.

  • Place the Small Gathering Divider without the middle section, turned diagonally in the Pie Basket. In the 2 large middle sections fill with dessert-sized plates and napkins. Use the other sections to separate sivlerware

  • If serving out-of-doors, use a second protector as a dome cover to keep out insects, and "little hands"

  • Use the Sewing Basket to carry the makings for a salad to a potluck. Put lettuce in the bottom protector. Use the divided protector for green peppers, onions, cheeses, mushrooms, etc. The top protector can be used to serve your favorite dressings. When ready to serve, just arrange the protectors on the table.

  • The Small Juice Pitcher is perfect for frothing milk for cappuccino. It can withstand the temperature change, it's tall enough to hold the froth, and it keeps the milk warm while the rest of your expresso is brewing.

  • Use the Medium Gathering Basket as a Salad Tray. WIll hold enough to feed 15-20 people.

  • Take the 1997 Mother's Day Divided Protector & use in the Collector's Club Serving Tray.
